Role Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of next-generation, high-performance cloud architectures that power intelligent, secure, and scalable enterprise systems. You will play a key role in shaping the foundation of vQsystems’ advanced platforms — combining cloud-native innovation, AI-driven automation, and zero-trust security to support global-scale operations.
This is a pivotal position at the intersection of architecture, security, and innovation — ideal for someone who thrives in building highly available, self-optimising systems that serve complex AI, data, and cybersecurity workloads.
Responsibilities
Architect, design, and implement multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, and/or GCP to support large-scale, mission-critical systems.
Develop scalable, fault-tolerant architectures leveraging microservices, containers (Kubernetes/Docker), and serverless computing.
Establish best practices for cloud governance, cost optimisation, and security compliance, aligned with enterprise and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with AI, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to integrate automated provisioning, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms.
Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) strategy using Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation for consistent, version-controlled deployments.
Provide architectural leadership in the design of data pipelines, AI workloads, and high-performance computing clusters.
Define and enforce SLA/SLO-driven reliability frameworks across all cloud services.
Evaluate and implement emerging cloud technologies that enhance scalability, resilience, and AI integration.
Guide cross-functional teams on architecture reviews, performance optimisations, and cost-efficiency strategies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of proven experience in cloud architecture, solution design, or enterprise infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (multi-cloud experience preferred).
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native design principles.
- Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for IaC automation.
- Strong grasp of network design, identity management (IAM), encryption, and cloud security frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platform integration, data pipelines, and distributed computing architectures.
- Experience designing for HA/DR, auto-scaling, and zero-downtime deployments.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Go, or Bash).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills — capable of translating technical complexity into strategic business outcomes.
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent) are a strong plus.
