Role Overview
vQsystems is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to architect, automate, and scale the next generation of intelligent infrastructure powering our secure enterprise platforms.
This is a hands-on, systems-level engineering role where you’ll design mission-critical infrastructure built for performance, reliability, and global scalability.
Our systems go beyond conventional cloud deployments — we engineer autonomous, self-healing environments that adapt dynamically to AI-driven workloads and security demands. You will be part of a highly skilled engineering team shaping the foundation of complex distributed systems, operating at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and cloud orchestration.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, automated cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD) for seamless code deployment.
- Develop and manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes for distributed microservices.
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
- Collaborate with software and AI engineering teams to enable continuous integration and model deployment workflows.
- Establish observability, monitoring, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
- Implement security-first DevOps practices — encryption, secrets management, and zero-trust pipelines.
- Optimise system reliability through proactive monitoring, auto-scaling, and failover strategies.
- Manage release orchestration, infrastructure versioning, and cost optimisation across environments.
- Lead incident response, performance tuning, and infrastructure audits to ensure resilience at scale.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Strong expertise in AWS / GCP / Azure, including IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and networking.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservice orchestration.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar IaC tools.
- Experience automating CI/CD workflows and managing multi-environment deployments.
- Knowledge of Linux systems administration, networking fundamentals, and secure configurations.
- Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability principles.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
- Familiarity with GitOps, ArgoCD, Vault, and service mesh architectures (Istio or Linkerd).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive in high-performance environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-availability enterprise environments or AI/ML infrastructure pipelines.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust networking, multi-cloud orchestration, or hybrid deployments.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST).
- Background in cybersecurity integration, secure CI/CD pipelines, or data protection automation.
Benefits
- Competitive salary with annual performance-based bonuses.
- Work with an elite engineering team solving complex, large-scale infrastructure challenges.
- Opportunity to shape the core platform of next-generation intelligent and secure systems.
- A forward-thinking culture built on engineering excellence, innovation, and trust.
